playatx99 06-07-2002, 06:48 PM wow, how hard was it to paint the needles orange? those look sweet as hell
chriscar 06-07-2002, 06:50 PM Hey Louis,
What's up with the black lettering on a black car? Or are they dark grey? That wasn't stock was it? I just ordered a black set for my black 92.
So much for being unique
Oh, nice cars, and not to *** your camera, but what the heck are the specs on that thing, looks like they came off a webcam! :)

They dont look so hot up close (here's why). I used a *red* permanent marker. Looked great at first, but as time went on the "thiness" of the ink kind of creeps. I tried covering it with a dull coat, but it didnt work.
I plan on redoing it soon.
The hardest part is removing the dash (because of the 91/92 speedo cable). Then I placed a piece of paper between the guages and the needle, so as not to f*ck up the guages, just in case. I did the marker, because I was afraid that translucent red paint would be spotty.

You'll still be unique, its my dads car, and he could care less about modding his car and hangin with SE-R dudes (although he's intrigued about trying his hand at drag racing!?!).
Its funny.. theyre black because the used car lot gave the car a bad, quick once-over with paint. Painted right over the letters. I thought it looked pretty cool, though.
My bro's car has black letters on a white car (thats what Id like)

No *** on me, its my dads cheapo camera. He bought it about three years ago for $200 (against my advisement), so that tells you what kind of quality it is compared to today's standards.
The car outside shots look bad mainly because for some reason the camera did all the outside shots out of focus. I couldnt tell at the time because of its stupid, tiny LCD screen.

oh well in that case i am fine, im not sure why people make such a big fuss over the speedo cable, i just disconnect it from the tranny, takes like 2 seconds, some people say to reach behind the cluster and disconnect it from there, but even my skinney 17 year old hands wont come CLOSE to fitting back there
