I was at the track today running great. I was passing a 944 into turn 8 at Willow and the car just shut off. I spent the rest of the day swapping distributors, coils, transistors and checking fuses and voltages and I can't figure it out. I had Kojima there helping me out so we checked that the ECU was working and that the dist was firing the injectors. We checked everything we could think of. We even checked the continuety? from the transitor to the ECU. That seemed suspect but didn't change the fact that I had no spark. The car shut down like it blew a fuse or link or something. I'm hoping that someone else has experienced this one and can help me. Kojima and Paule think I need to get a new wire harness. They may be right???

I am no help to you, except for empathy.

However, how incredibly fortunate for you to have Mike K diagnosing on your car at the track. LOL.

Back in the day, I owned a 280ZX Turbo. I would be driving along, everything perfect, and then the whole entire car, all of it, would shut off and I would literally be coasting. Then, mysteriously, the car would "blink" back on and be running perfectly. Try this on a stretch of highway, in the dark, at 70+ mph. It has a pucker factor of about an "11." Nobody could figure it out, multiple shops. I sold the car.

Good luck, free bumpage. :)
