just got back from the track in Ennis, TX. My SpecV is bone stock and has about 1500 miles on the clock. Anyways, the conditions were kinda crummy (texas heat sux) ~85 degrees F, and 70% humidity(checked weather.com).
The first run, I went VERY easy because i wanted to get a feel for the track and my new car. I eased off the clutch from 2000RPMS and shifted at redline everytime.... 2.4 60ft and a 15.7 @87mph
After examining the timeslip, I tell my friends that I think i can hit a 15.4 with this car under these conditions and wont leave till i hit it.
Second run, I decide to go a little bit higher RPM. I ease off the clutch from 2500RPM and shift at redline... 2.32 60ft, 15.6 @ 87mph
After this run, I decide to drop the front tire pressures from 37psi down to 32psi. I tell myself I will launch semi-agressively on this run and tach it up to ~2800RMS. I get off the clutch a little faster, and slam the gas this time.. I launched with a few skips, but I was on my way. here is the timeslip (sorry i dont have a scanner, but i'll try to take a picture of all the timeslips tomorrow with my digital camera):

After i hit my goal, i was done for the night. I didnt want to stress my new car too bad until I get some more mileage racked up on it.
I think if I ran a few more times, i could have gotten a better launch and knocked it down to 15.3X The weather wasnt helping, but I think under the right conditions, this car is definitely capable of pulling low-low 15's.
Oh yeah, i won all 3 races too the first 2 were against a 2002 GTi 1.8T and the last run was against my friend's prelude. He got a ton of wheelhop and backed out of it.. He did have a higher trapspeed but i had a better E/T and crossed the line first :)
