I just recently added a rear set of Ground Control coilovers. I replaced the struts with KYB/AGX adjustable. Now everytime that i drive the rear end squeaks when ever i hit any sized bump. I was wondering if the is any sort of solution for this annoying squeak..

thanks

You need to purchase some Shigspeed pillow ball mounts. The strut is in an angle and the rubber bushings are squeaking, the pillow ball mount will give it the freedom to be at the angle needs to be quiet. Sunny has a set on his classic, you should ask him how to get your hands on a set.

I've never heard of these before, but am very interested. I stopped half of my squeeks with zip ties on the ends of the springs.

The rear of my car also squeaks, but only on very small bumps. Like when I sit in the car and move around. The squeaking also started recently. I have sports line springs and GAB shocks on it with about 50000 miles on the springs and 10000 miles on the shocks. I was planning to just pull the shocks and springs out and throw a little grease all the rubber bushings. Can’t hurt to try

Well, we've tried the grease idea... we've tried duct tape... we've tried zip ties... and the squeaking is still terrible.

I'm gonna call Courtesy today and get those "pillowball joints" that are supposed to fix it. Wish me luck.

Well, forget the pillowball joints. They are pretty expensive. Instead, we pulled of the assembly, used some high quality bearing grease, and grease the heck out of the rubber at the top of the coilover assembly. Put it back together and the squeak is ghandi!!! Woo hoo. And it only cost $3 for the grease...

Thanks for all of your help. And, if the grease idea wears down over time, we might have to buy the pillowball joints, but until then, we've saved a ton of time and money with the grease.
