Well..after a crappy day at the track...with a pathetic time of 15.3 with a 2.21 60', my JDM motor threw a rod. Bitter sweet...not too disappointed the motor went boom..just a pain in the ass that i had to pay for towing. Thanx to Oscar for the help.
So, Monday, i tow my baby to Steve Mitchell's M-Works to get the JDM beast removed so i can get the engine bay painted along with the Cerritos Nissan disaster issue fixed. I do plan on getting it all prepped for the new heart to power my 16 year old partner back up with a better, stronger, faster ticker. Sigh...i wanted to boost this puppy for a future project...i guess i still could.

Lets call this a forced to upgrade situation :D

did you throw the rod through the block or just spin a bearing?

just the bearing. ill get the photos from Oscar as soon as he emails them to me. Now that it's actually a reality that this needs to be done, i ahve to figure out what i will eb doing first so i wont be back tracking. Everything except the Calico Bearings are purchased for the block. When the block is done, i will bug Clark of JWT to get my ECU worked on for the Alpha N as well as pick up the C3's and springs. Man..its gonna be an EXPENSIVE November.

Going to JWT to pick up my C3's and Springs tomarrow. I hope I can get Clark to get some sorta program for Alpha N to get the ITBS fired up. I might even just use another shortblock on my existing head to tune the ITB's. Im also adding DET oil squirters to my block to have more protection. SLow, but progressing build.

Dam i cant wait, Im just about as giddy as your probaly..lol. I would love to hear this thing through the itb.

Ill be making a vinyl eyelid kit for the Tsuru headlights to give it a more mean look.
Hopefully i get the rims powder coated this week as well as install the side skirts.
Ill also post pix of the interior this week as well.
