Ok - labor is free so what do you guys suggest...

I've got two DE's both with "issues".
Out of the two, I want to make one, turbo ready motor.

Since I'm going through it, what pistons would you guys recommend. The motor will be turbocharged from day one, so I'm pretty sure I don't want to raise compression.
So please, suggestions, places to buy, and pricing would be helpful... Just looking into this.

Also anyone have the specifics handy for the hole I have to put in the block for the oil return?

Thank ya...

Chris

You can get turbo pistons from Nissan Motorsports for $36 each. They are 8.3:1 pistons. http://nismoparts.safeshopper.com/414/cat414.htm?482

Chris--

You've driven a 9.5:1 engine with a turbo on it. :D So, you know what my suggestion will be.

As for the oil drain drill/tap routine: Ben Davis has the exact drill and tap to do the deed. We did mine up at his place. You should, too.

Actually, they're 8.5:1. The GTi-R uses a different head than the BBDET which brings the CR down to 8.3:1, not different pistons.

The website said 8.3:1, that's where I got my info.
