ok ive seached pretty good at this point and i cant seem to find what im looking for. as you can see i own a 98 200sx se-r. id like to know what the exact differences are between the 98 engine, ecu, and wiring harness compared to a 95-97. ive seen some say it has more emissions garbage on it. what all extra does it have? how can i go about eliminating all this? also id like to run a g20 ecu. what is necessary to do this? i greatly appreciate any help you guys can offer. thanks. :)

anyway big difference i know of is that the 95-97 se-r ecu is programmable either by calum or jwt and a few others but tunable none the less. the harness will plug right in to the new ecu but as that link shows some lines and wire need to be switched as well as you need a older 3 wire rear o2 sensor. another option is the g20 ecu which has a higher (7500 rpm iirc) and no fuel cutoff.

so i hope that helps point you in the right direction but i know i didnt mention it all sorry. i only know so much....

Is your 98 SE-R on the original chassis or is it a swap. Are you asking for the additional emissions sensors or just sensors in general.

its an all stock 98 se-r. other than an intake. im asking what additional sensors/emission controls came stock on my car when compared to a 95-97 se-r. basically because id like to remove anything that will affect drivability and overall performance. ive heard the 98 motors dont perform as well and id like to get mine running as well as any other n/a sr20. thanks.
