I am down to the wire. I'm ordering parts today. First, I'd like the AEM cai, but will it apply to a '98 SE? Second, if not AEM, then which is the better bang for buck deal, hotshot or place racing? And lastly, is that Hotshot header group buy deal still going on, cause if so, then I'm in. Thank you.

yes, the AEM will work on the 98 se. i love my hotshot, steve (98sr20de) didn't. they use the same design, so really it just depends on who has it cheaper, IMO.

I like the MAF adapter on the Place Racing better. I do think the Hotshot Chrome looks great. I heard they don't have that anymore. The PR/HS are both 3 inch tubes, the AEM is 2.5 and has a lot of nice features that the others don't. If you get a HS/PR go to lowes and get a piece of aluminum flat 3/4 inch by 4 feet. Cut it to fit between the MAF and one of the OEM holes for the air box. Bend one end at a 90 degree and drill holes for the bolt on the MAF and one for the air box hole. This will keep the MAF from sliding down and working loose.

if I were to go with the AEM cai, what should I look for on the application guide for part numbers. What Sentra should I look for, because I know that it doesn't say for a 98-99 Sentra SE, at least I haven't seen it anywhere.

I think you should look for a 95-97 200SX SE-R

good luck doin' that!! i just tried searchin' Google for AEM intake+200sx and came up w/ crap. whereas if you search using AEM intake+SE-R you'll get some decent leads. most sites list the 89-92 as the lo-port and the 93-94 as the hi-port.

Use the application for the 94 lowport Classic. It will fit, you just have to play around with the battery relocation hardware to make it fit properly. And if you want you can drill the hole for the temp sensor, but some guys just leave it alone. If you get it let me know if you have any questions on the install. I will be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks a ton Martin, I've been kinda skeptical about ordering this intake because there is a no-return policy if it doesn't fit and that is exactly what I wanted to hear. This battery relocation kit that you spoke of, is it extra? Where can I get it? And how difficult is this fidgiting that I have to do to get this intake installed. On a scale of 1-10.
