Bowlcut 06-10-2002, 05:37 PM Rice
well you asked for it
se-r sam 06-10-2002, 06:23 PM HID lights are functional, so that means .....
"not rice" in my book.
SE-Rican 06-10-2002, 06:28 PM You ricer!!
You gave me the OK to say so. Bro now a days so much stuff is available. (Rice) If you like those MOFO's get them.
Have you seen PIAA's Platinum White bulbs? I bought new fogs for my classic from Courtesy and they are Very Very WHITE AND BRIGHT.
SmoothDaddyFig 06-10-2002, 07:46 PM Thats not rice. Its nice.
But too much weight. :D
Must keep reducing weight!!!!!
nismo200 06-10-2002, 09:05 PM Hey sup all. I would go with the Philips kit. Its the best out there. Or I would go with some type of Hella kit also. As far as rice. HIDs are far from rice. What ricer is goin to spend that type of money on lighting. Ive seen and worked with the Philips kit and as a matter of fatc we installed one on a WRX this week. Look damn nice. Just dont get a fake kit.

All of them? I can't tell you how many cars I see with those gay ass washer nozel lights and HID's and other lighting modifications and no go goodies to back up their looks. If it's easy, they don't care what it costs.
SE-Romeo 06-11-2002, 12:20 PM I have them on my car and i get comliments, they look sweet
civicdragon 06-11-2002, 12:29 PM Rice is getting hyper whites, but seriously a HID kit isnt all for looks, when comparing the light spots from my brothers friends, Acura TL and my old 2001 Integra the TL would light up both garage doors from the bottom of the driveway(20ft) while mine barely light up 50% of both from about half the distance away.
Hid kits are a non rice mod because it is functional as well as good looking. Rice is when you make your car look like its got something that it doesnt.
spdracerUT 06-11-2002, 12:39 PM HIDs are totally different from just a bulb replacement. Last time I looked at a set of HIDs, they cost a grand or so. Have the prices gone down since?

yeah you can get a set for $500-$700 now.
HIDs are in no way rice. unless you are wealthy, and have an all-show-no-go ride the chance of a ricer having 'em are slim. most will have the APC hyper whites (which were good way back, but now suck). SDF is right, those ballasts aren't lite.
AntonioG 06-11-2002, 02:46 PM What's wrong with the Mex lights? $350 for everything and they give the Sentra a much more modern look. Very worth it.
$700 spent in just headlights makes me shudder. Just get cams and you'll forget all about HIDs. :D
Tunez 06-11-2002, 03:16 PM Yeah until it's dark and your hauling ass and hit a tree. :D
KikoSanchez182 06-11-2002, 04:04 PM all im sayin is with that kinda money, it could be better spent on other things, but hey i guess if you go race around the backroads in the middle of the nite they might be useful
9d1ser 06-11-2002, 04:58 PM rice, rice baby... dummb, dummb... dummb, dummb....
dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb
Im actually considering the HIDs myself, I like the newer PURPLE.
Note that you should have some aftermarket headlights, to get the best results. Our stock nissan lights SUCK!
so, for the B13 go TSURU, and for the B14 hopefully you have the Daimond or projector lights.
I think I have a few numbers where I can get them at About $400.
Is there alot of people interested?
If so, I could give them a call and see if they could give us a group deal, PM me if your interested.
civicdragon 06-12-2002, 01:02 AM Back roads? I dont know where some of you guys are from, but most of the major freeways/highways around here dont have lights...
Being as I work a 3-12 shift I'm always stuck on the highwy when its dark. They only got lights close to the exits and if your on a big highway thats a good 5-10 miles between exits sometimes even more. Some time I wish I had HID but I gotta use my high beams going around some of the off ramps, cause some of them dont have lights either.
Big John 06-12-2002, 01:14 AM I have Eaglite HID's. I paid $350 on groupbuycenter.com. They are easy to install, very nice, and add maybe 5 lbs. I don't consider it a bad, rice, or an expensive mod for the added safety.
How many B12's with real HID's have you seen?
John
SE R Madness 06-12-2002, 02:51 AM I wouldn't recommend them from the B14 Projectors. They will be a waste of time. The Projector lights only beam forward and not to the floor. Unless you can focus them to the floor (And the screws don't help) It's useless. but if anyone have an HID for the Projectors PLEASE. I want to see a picture.
