ok now I have a question, from what I have read on here a t28 will bolt up to a bluebird mani but it will hit the block:confused: now heres my question, I have a bunch of dsm buddies that think I am nuts when I tell them that because a t28 shares the same exhauast housing as a t25 does, basically from the outside they are the same only differences are internal. I'm assuming this is because the t25 in Japan has a smaller housing the the japan t28 does, is this true? and if this is true then how about bolting up a us t28 to a bb mani?? Or is the japan t25 have a different housing than the us t25:confused: tai.

The reason a T28 hits the block on a BB manifold is because of the compressor housing; It's bigger than a T25's compressor housing. Turbine housing clearance isn't an issue, but the T28 turbine housing is indeed bigger than the T25's. A T25 and a T28 are very different externally, though one might not be able to tell one from the other if they weren't side-by-side.
