well im going all out drag car with my egg and i want to know if its possible to put a pulsar gti-r suspenion under a nx, i have heared the b13 and n14 chassis are the same is this true? im confident in my welding skils its just a matter of finding the parts, i have pretty much unlimited time to do it and all the resourses i need (work a nissan dealership) but the parts anyone know where i might find the parts and if its ever been done, and if u think the awd will help much with the hole shot.
thanks for the help

just my 2 cents...
It might help with the hole shot, but unless you are going mega-boost turbo or mega-shot nitrous, the extra weight and extra loss of power from the awd system might negate the hole shot.
On the other hand, if ya wanna build me an awd NX for autocrossing... ;) I wonder what class that would be in, or even if it'd be legal in SCCA? Hmmmmmm...
I've always wanted an awd egg :)

Chris - with an extra Egg now - begins to dream.....
hehe
Anyone have the GTi-R AWD Tranny and the rest of the rear components they'd like to donate? I know the people that can do it, no cost for the welding, and I'd even let an experience driver go autoX it just to see what it does :-P
I can already think of the plate!

either way its either all wheel drive egg
or
Odd Egg haha

There was a 4WD setup for sale on this forum a while back - subframes, hubs, struts, halfshafts, driveshaft, control arms - out of a GTIR. I think it sold for around $700?
This benchracing topic comes up again and again. As a rallyer, I would love to see it done, and I would really love to find out that it's easy. I remember wondering out loud on this forum, whether it was possible. A number of people seemed certain that it was - for whatever that's worth. One person who was convinced was the guy who bought the above setup - I've never heard what became of the project.
A couple of things to think about:
The GTIR has a removable rear subframe - on the NX, everything mounts direct to the body - so you need some completely custom-fabricated way of mounting the rear subframe - not easy.
Where is the driveshaft going to go? I don't think the stock sway bar has enough of a curl in it for clearance - more importantly neither does the existing tunnel.
The gearbox is obviously different - does it mount the same? Is it bigger? Is there room/clearance for the power take off to the rear?
Libra Racing is a professional rally shop in Vermont. They developed/build/run all the Hyundai 4WD rally cars - Elantra, Tiburon I, Tiburon II (actually, MSD - the WRC Hyundai guys from the UK built one of the Tiburon IIs). These were all custom 4WD/Turbo conversions. They spent unGodly amounts of money and time designing and developing the cars - lots of teething problems, lots of custom solutions, lots of money. It wasn't easy - after about 7 or 8 years, they're STILL having reliability problems.
Like I said, I'd love to see it done. Just trying to point out some of the many things you'll have to consider.

if your going all out drag, and your going to spend all that time, money and effort. just slap the engine out of a skyline in it set it up for rear wheel drive even a stock skyline engine would make your 1/4 times crazy fast. but thats just my opinoin

i found one place that can get the suspesion but its 3 grand,, skyline engine would be fun but i want to stay true to the sr20de i love the engine, plus where i live it snows alot and i would like to have something to play with int he snow, before i get the power i want out of the engine so awd would be great, and if i wanted to autox awd would be good to
