my brothers and i are buying a fourth se-r BUT there is a problem... the owner of the se-r that we are looking to buy hasn't changed title... meaning the owner right now, who has had the car for 5 months, hasn't changed the title... so its still under the previous owner... so what can i do about it??? can i just put my name on the current title, along with the current owner and previous owner??? is what??? PLEASE... i really want to buy this se-r cause it is CHEAP!!!

I don't think the person you are buying the car from can legally sell the car. This would be a good question for the DMV. Every state has different rules for these types of things. Good luck.

If he has a title that the previos owner signed the seller block then all you should have to do is sign the buyer block and its yours. You should just do it as you are buying it fron the first guy.

yep... that's what the DMV said... the lady at the DMV give us another bill of sales and to fill that out... BUT the catch is we will have to pay for the current owner's taxes and fees since he didn't pay for the other transfer fee and taxes...

You should've just made believe you were buying it from the previous owner... This should work, unless maybe the current owner had registered it, but I don't think that would've been possible w/o having the title.

Ditto. I've bought a car like this before, just don't mention that the car has changed hands in between and there shouldn't be a problem, even if the sale date is quite old.
