Please help!!! Here's what I got. My 96 b14 se-r has a sort of thumping sound while accelerating hard. Sounds like its coming from passenger side undercarriage motor area. I have visually inspected shafts, axles, and so forth and everything looks fine. It only does it under hard accelerating, no noise under normal driving or while idling. It almost sounds like something is hitting the undercarriage. Please help before I go and spend all kinds of money for nothing. I'd rather spend it on finishing my b13 turbo car. Thanks in advance to all. And I have already searched forum but nothing seems to match my problem..

Motor mount is bad.
X 2. First thing I thought of.......check your motor mounts.
Search for "Prothane" if you have a bad mount. You can buy them from Serban at The Go Fast Depot in the forum vendors section. Much, much better and way less expensive than Nissan OEM.

Hi Guys,
this is kind of a thread jack- but on the same car:
I bought this particular B14 for my girlfriend knowing that it had an issue-
thought that it was a shot wheel bearing, maybe driveshaft....
Previous owner started this thread and had been helping me get the car back to good.
The bearing was replaced and I just replaced the driveshaft and had it aligned. Grinding still persists.
It does it mostly when turning left under load, but has begun to grind while accelerating straight as well.
Any thoughts???
Thanks!

Ball joints and sway bar bushes appear to be ok.
everything is tight and there is no play in the wheel when off the ground.
If it comes down to replacing motor mounts- which mount is most likely the culprit?
it sounds as if the motor is torqueing under load and causing strain on the driveshaft.
