Alright i was getting my turbo stuff together and figured that the 444cc GTI-R injectors @4 bar would be a good choice. Asked calum about it and he said he never worked with that setup and hes not local so he cant work it out with the car . And now at the end of the road i dont have nearly enough money for JWT. So i was thinking of some options this is where i want you opinions...
1)Have calum program for 370's @4bar and use an safc for injectors
2)Buy some MSD 50 lbs and have it programmed for that by calum (you cant go 4bar with these what are some drawbacks to that?)
3)Save prob till next year and go JWT

I know GTIR injectors are top feed, if you're running 370s right now those are side feed. Unless you want to pick up a new fuel rail, I would look into 550cc or 555cc injectors.

I went back to stock. I knew I'd be picking up a new rail anyway

Is 550cc the next step up?

Yes, WRX STi injectors can be used as they are also side feed. 550cc hi impendance and CHEAP! :)

So even though my car is a high port i can still use sidefeed?

I have the yellow STi injectors in my car. Sent them to JWT and Clark flow tested them at 520cc @ 3bar. They made me a 4bar, Z32 turbo program. So far so good.

So no hope for the 444cc @ 4bar?

I happen to have the top feed fuel rail already so...

As you have probably noticed, the top feed rail wont bolt up to the high port inlet manifold...

Don't bother trying to make up spacers to make it fit either, last time I saw someone do that they had an engine bay fire once the fuel pressure built up and twisted the rail

I'm gonna go with the 50lbers

Actually would 72Lbs make me run rich or anything bad like that? There are some I can get for a good deal

They may cause a slightly rich idle but nothing drastic.

hmmm, interesting idea. On Ebay most are listed as 520cc. They are only $150-$200 used on Ebay with low miles due to coming out of '05-'06 STI's.

520cc @ 3 bar should be good for about 350WHP
520cc @ 4 bar should be good for about 400WHP

I know they are side-feeds, but are they a direct fit into the fuel rail? Any modification needed?

They're a PERFECT fit on our fuel rails. As a matter of fact, I hear the Nismo 720's are a popular upgrade for the Subaru guys. You will need to use the Subaru injector clips though, ours don't fit.

Thanks for the info, looks like you just saved me $150 going w/ the STI 520s over the 555cc injectors.
