I just put my rod through the block. It started knocking a week and a half ago but it progressed further untill bamm blue smoke and bouncing parts in the road behind me. oh what a day indeed. Is there anyone local to Cincy that can help? please I'm pulling the tranny today or as much as I can get today. I am probably oredering a jdm DE today or maybe a bb det I dont know yet.

The oil was lost through the front main seal and I noticed a couple hours later but within a few weeks it turned to a knock. then today it got worse then bam. she gave way. Now I'm thinking a bb det and selling my intake and header a 3 inch dual dtm exhaust. I dont know though.

I was going to say something about how maybe you shouldn't get a turbo cause you kill trannys with the regular SR20DE. Maybe you should get a civic so you don't have to worry about overpowering anything :p

Do you need driving lessons?:D :D

My question is why did you keep driving your car with a known oil leak and a rod knock? Did you expect it NOT to blow up?

Well the tranny blew due to wheel hop at the drag strip. The motor though I had just gotten the front main seal a couple days prior, and had planned to puul it apart and get the bearings done but to late. Any way I'm going to order a DET today. :)

If you can tow your car to my place you certainly can do the swap here.

If you know someone with a vehicle with a hitch you can rent a 2 wheel dolly from Uhaul for $37 for one day. I borrowed my boss's Trailblazer one day and picked up Swift parts car that way. My dad has a minivan that could do the duty, just no hitch.

maybe even a uhaul truck to put the motor in and and the dolly. hmmmmm..

For a DET remember you'll need a DET ECU or a JWT ECU. You CAN run the stock ECU, Serban knows someone who did for like over a year and was ok. You'll run a bit rich, but it will work.
