My GC/AGX rears are making some noises, and I know that the collar is not moving, there is so much duct tape and silicone on them! I keep hearing about these thigs, but I have no idea what they are. If you remember from assembling your GC's, there's a bigass bushing at the top of the strut assembly, underneath the stock mount. Since the struts are at a slight angle this bushing is always compressed a little and squeaks around as the suspension compresses and rebounds. Not only that but that bushing becomes the softest part of the suspension when running stiff springs, resulting in a lot of play that undermines the gain from the coilovers. Those rear mounts eliminate that bushing and replace it with a different kind of joint that allows better movement of the suspension, meaning less noise. It also recovers the 1/2" of travel sucked up by the bushing. And as a final bonus it eliminates the play in the suspension letting your springs do the work they are supposed to.
