I have a cracked driverside mirror and I know they sell replacement mirrors for them but now my question is how much of a bitch is it to get the original glass out????

Mine was glued in there with some nasty double sided sticky tape and a couple of plasic clips on the mirror. I was able to get it off just by prying it out with a big screwdriver, although it would help to see where those plastic clips are. You might just be able to look at the back of the new mirror to see how its attached.

It's real easy to do. Tilt the top of the mirror all the way back. Get down on your knees, and look up at the bottom of the mirror. You'll see two indentations where you can inset a flat bladed screwdriver. Wrap the screwdriver in a rag, insert in the slot, and twist. Then just pull the mirror off. There will be some double sided tape, but once you get it started with the screwdriver, it'll pull right off.
