no good on cf trunks. sold the two prototype ones. maybe in the future.

I need pics of the fading clear coats, had reviewed the clear coat epoxy used, and have left a hood out in the open for 2 weeks since the last reply in my backyard, so far so good, I clean in once a week and use mother's wax w/ microfiber rag.
Have used megiuars detail wax every 3 days now.

Get your self a arms permit. Let off a couple of rounds in the air. I dont think your cars will get broken into anymore. You don't even have to injure anyone. Thats the only way people take you serious these days.

Anyhow I am still looking for carbon fiber hood and trunk for my b14 if you have any laying around there.

this is the hood after seeing sun for about 3 weeks and then sitting in a garage for another 3 due to a bad motor...

Sam, I FWD'd the link to my CF guy, so far my test hood is fine...even bird doo and it was ok. I'm on week 3 with the hood outside.
I am hoping for others to give some feedback and post pics. Keep em rolling in.

try to wet sand the hood with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper and reclear it and it should be fine

i don't really want to do all that. i bought it for a decent amount of money. i was hoping that wouldnt be needed for atleast a few years. hopefully i will hear good news back from hogan and the guy who did them. thanks

I will have 2 extra hoods made just in case by next weekend.

sounds good, i can update this thread with more pics tmrw if you want. the hood has gotten a lot worse now... it's all over it. i'm not trying to complain or make you look like a bad guy, just so you know...

Hey Hogan, any word on the ceramic CF hood and if your CF guy is willing to make one? Very Interested in getting one. Lot of heat here in Phoenix, 110+ degree temps this summer. Need one that can last. PM me if you have any info. Thanks!

here are some pics i took today... it's the best i could do before it started raining. but you can clearly see where the hood is a lighter color. everywhere that it looks whitish or lighter is where the fade...
