Don't worry cheddar :running:, I think we're almost on the same path. First, HID's for $135 :D, now a carbon hood, and I know some people with trucks :biggthump. Nismo_star: arrange that quote brother and see if you can have any luck with b13 cf trunks being made, I'm sure there's some left over dudes from the Illest GB that are dying to get them, I know I am. :biggthump

Cool man! I would so love a trunk but my insurance is coming up at the end of june thats $523 for 6months. Ill be saving up not wasting anything. Should have more then enough at the end of june for insurance and the hood. For the trunk im gonna have to wait another month. But ohh well patience pays I always say.

Does it come with windshield sprayers mounted? Does it have metal frame, or is it 100% carbon? Pics? I need more info before I pay...........................

$$$entra, metal frame defeats the purpose, has fiberglass frame, mimicing under hood feature, very sturdy side to side, doesn't feel like a typical hood.
100% carbon, does have rolled edges.

Pics to be posted in next 24-48 hrs. I am training for a Nissan DTS job @ Somerset,NJ

I put my fenders on the other night, I am buying another B13 in a few days for the 20V I just purchased and see fit on a non-adjusted front end. >=)

VVL train, are you "IN"

MR-4Door-SR20DE, are you "IN"

I just made the purchase for the initial 50 hoods since I have had other businesses contact me in regards to this GD, so I'm sticking my neck on the line with the company I am dealing with.

LMK guys, I need the dedicated 10 at least, 20 would be nice.

Hi, I would have bought your hood if it were a little faster. I can't wain too long, so I just ordered mine form raceonusa for $475. If your hood is 100% carbon it is great deal. :biggthump I just wanted you to know that I am not in this group buy for timing reasons. :(

no problem, thats why I stipulated everything in post #1 on time frame and to SR20Boston before the GD went down. Anyhow I will have 50 hoods in stock in 3-4 weeks and shops which have placed orders are at a certain wholesale level as per my account dept @ J.E.T Speed Lab will get theirs. (I know they are watching the thread.)

Thanks for your interest $$$entra :)

Red Dragon, making the molds are not the easiest and esp with variables on vehicles hard fitment unless its done on a one at a time basis, I tried with a fiberglass fender design before they were available, the one mold I had made fit my car great, but when other owners had asked me for one, didn't fit well at all.
Its bad enough I had to ask him for a CF trunk, and he putting my car venture on hold cause he makes mostly DIY airplane kits and replacement components.

for those who wanna venture into composite building I have made custom pieces, but lots of practice using a composite builders kit.

Link to pratice kit.

Link to their composites section.
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/cm/index.html

once you get started on small custom projects you will be amazed on the possibilities on making panels and housings.

obviously once you start to understand how composite structure is made and materials available. I've done composite work for almost 5 yrs, and the first 3 were the hardest. Now I understand structure and tricks to integrating weaves and compound structures. Try to start your ideas, beleive me, I'm just trying to share my experiences and hopefully you will benefit from it, and realize that making a one off fender does take time, but it costs 1/2-3/4 price before overpriced shipping.

Is the hood made with a latch already on it? It looks like it.
