It's An Altima Se-R.... Anyone know if there's a forum besides.. Altima Fourm???? Still have a Classic but need a car with more power...and a smoother ride... Want to keep it up with /b in front of Evo an Sti...

Tall order to get that out of the KA, best I have seen for a Daily Driver was 280 whp in an 1995, guy put conservatively $15k into motor ground up plus turbo, intercooler. At 2800 lbs, not light but not too heavy, 200 whp NA is not unreasonable if you're willing to do cams, ECU, etc. in addition to the usual bolt-ons. I have a U13 '95 and a '91 SE-R SR20, I like them both but no way will the Altima ever be faster than the B13, not w/o a serious diet and more money into the motor than I'm willing to spend.

Both have their place, just better go find something else to make an Evo-beater, not the U13. Also don't even think about a SR20 swap for that car, I've looked into it extensively and it's a real bitch.

Unless you're talking a VQ35DE recent Altima, the SE-R's were not substantially different than other models - not in power, barely improved suspension, added a wing, nicer wheels and some interior changes - not exactly best example of the badge in the last 15 years or so...
