Any ideas on this...?

My '91 SE-R runs just fine in cold and cool weather, but develops a driveability gremlin when hot (60 degrees plus). At part throttle it stumbles a bit.

I know the radiator fans come on because I wired a manual switch (they had quit kicking on for some strange reason, related?). I know that all of the relays in the circuit work. I have replaced the coolant temperature sensor. What's next?

Many thanks,
Bman

This is off-topic to your post. However, I live 45min. south of you and come to that area--Great Northern mall---all the time. If you are ever up to it, we should meet up sometime.

See ya-

i see that this is your 1st. post. Have you visited
www.SE-R.net ? Sounds like you need to clean your egr system out.
There is lots o useful info there.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

I am familiar w/ SE-R.net and will attempt the EGR cleaning when I have time.

In the mean time, I discovered this week that my air conditioning is not working (yes, it just got hot here this week). I click the button, the light comes on, and no compressor engagement.

The only reason that I mention this is that I wonder if it is related to the no fans / driveability problem. I'll test fuses, relays, etc. for the air conditioner and see if this gets me any further along.

Again, thanks,
Bman

Oh yah,

I have all of the Sport Compact Car articles on the '91SE-R and I reground the MAF some time ago. Boy, what a difference to driveability, especially when cold!

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I use to live in Wadsworth, Ohio. I have since relocated to Ashland, Ohio and work in Mansfield. I get over to Montrose all the time. In fact, my wife and I will be there this weekend in my SE-R.
