We have a set sitting around. The lug pattern is the same. They may make a good set of race wheels or something. Anybody try yet? These wheels are 14" from a 97 Civic LX.

The lug pattern is the same, but the center bore is too small.

those wheels ARE the same bolt pattern. 4x100. it will NOT fit without modification. you will have to enlarge the wheel hub on the rim about 1/4 of an inch to make it fit.

What kind of tool would be required to enlarge the wheel hub? I have a pair of the civic steel rims and want to use them for my winter tires.

Thanks,
Monty

A die grinder would work, preferrably the air one. Make a pattern of the wheel hub, then trace it over the wheel. Grind it out using the line as guide. How can you be sure it will center?? Well, if you remember your geometry.................., but of course, like the rest of my students, you probably didn't pay attention in class!!!!!:D
