whats up all?
did a quick search and didnt find what i was lookin for.
we were havin a lil difficulty properly tuning this gtir and we narrowed it down to the tb's
i've never done it before so i wanted someone to let me know how to PROPERLY tune the throttle bodies so they are all even & equal.
I have an idea but i'd rather do it right the first time, lol
thank all

GTiR throttle bodies can wear around the butterfly and cause idle problems. I believe it is a nylon sleeve that the butterflys seat against that wears over time and means they no longer seal 'shut' at idle?
What exactly is the problem?

make sure all the vacuum hoses are good to go first, i know mine were all loose and cracked when i was re-assembling my engine and i always had a sorta lopey idle.
as far as tuning them id have to say... the vacuum niples off the throttle bodies with a vacuum guage but im not sure what to expect for numbers. i suppose you can just measure all of them to get a average and if anything is far off in measurements then adjust that peticular one

yes like a motorcycle... quad psi gauges mounted in bar and use the butterfly adjustment to get them syncd.
Read post #2 in the thread below it goes into setting up the GTI-R quad TB's a little. i have seen other post about this topic that go into it with more detail but I didn't see them searching.
