Anyone have a procedure for fixing a jumpy idle?

Here's the possibilities I know of:
1. Malfunctioning EGR
2. TPS Voltage
3. MAF needs grounding
4. o2 sensor

I've checked the egr, you know, finger on the diaphram, rev to 3000rpm. It doesn't seem to flutter, just opens. I'm trying to get my hands on a multimeter, so I should be able to check the TPS and MAF problems. Any other possibilities? The idle seems to fluctuate from somewhere between 700 and 900 rpm @ idle w/ no A/C.

I assume my mileage would be shot to hell if its the o2 sensor, and I'm getting a good 30mpg mixed city/highway (80/20). Thanks in advance guys.

theres a valve assembly on the passenger side of the intake manifold with a straight-blade screwdriver at the top of it, its called the BPT or SOB or F-U-C-K or something, if all else fails, try taking that out and cleaning it, i did, it took half a day, but the idle is mint now
BTW, how much does a new TPS cost?

Yeah, its the BPT (next to the egr). One of the little discs on the intake manifold. the bpt actuates the egr or something like that. i remember reading it in the manual.

what do you mean by clean it? i checked the tube from the egr to the bpt (on the top) and it was like 98% clean. i ran a pipe cleaner through it anyway, and blew it out. didn't seem to help at all :(

nono thats not it
its a valve connected to the manifold itself, on the passenger side of the IM, by the oil filter and pwer steering pump. Good luck getting it out!

Yeah I think thats the Idle air control valve? They have been known to cause idle problems. And it is a bitch to remove!
