Okay, I'm a muscle car man, or used to be and all my friends are on the tuner thing. When they use tuner terms, I'm lost. Like they said they're use X lbs. of boost and then people are like, "damn, you gonna kill yourself" or something. Like 15 lbs. doesn't sound big to me. And somebody saids they have X lbs. of boost going to something, what does that mean? I hate to sound like a dumbie, but I just dont know. Any terms that can help keep me from getting beat up would be nice.:biggthump

Okay champ, here goes, mind you I am not an expert.
x LBS boost= the amount of pressure your setting your Tubo (Forced Induction) inorder to force said air/fuel mixture into your cylinder head combustion chamber before detonation.
This might at the very least start some feed back from the true masters, that know first hand.
Okay, I screwed up, NITRO Silly Not turbo, crap...
They are forcing the gas into the air/fuel mixture, Nitro burns quiker and cleaner = higher cumbustion chamber pressures which increases horse power. The higher the boost the higher the chamber pressures untill the motor cannot handle it. Then it Blows up and you call a wrecker.

No worries, remember this formula, 3hrs research 1 hr of wrenching.
I call it 3 to 1 mechanics. but the variable will be the questions.
If it is a sr20 motor you will find the answer here on this forum.
