Hello all, it's about that time! Summer is right here and we haven't planned events at all. This is about to change.

I am think we should have a sr20 hosted Nissan meet sometime in July. I have talked to a few Sr20 and Maxima owners around the area and they are all for it. If this is going to happen we need to start planning now so that everything will be set. I'm also thinking that we can have a BBQ and a cruise if traffic allows.

Who else is in favor of this Idea?

6/25/02 Edit :
We will be meeting @ Jacob Riis Park in Rockaway Queens @ 10:30am on July 27th, 2002. There is also a little private parking area that we can use but I'm not sure if there is a fee for that parking area or if we would want to use it (I think it can only hold about 10-15 cars). There is a fee for the main parking area which comes up to $3.25. Parking lot is HUGE so that's good plus for a major turn out.

I was trying to get the BBQ area reserved, but they told me it's a first come first serve deal on the grills. I also recomend that people bring there own grills just in case. To stop further confusion, everyone who wants to BBQ must bring there own meat or buddy up with someone who is BBQing. The beach and board walk is right there and there are also basketball courts (for those of you that want to get your asses bust), a golf course, a public pool, softball, baseball, football, rugby, paddleball and handball ect. Great scenic area with many places for photo.

Directions from Brooklyn:
From the Belt Parkway: take Exit 11S (Flatbush Avenue SB - Rockaways) to the Marine Park bridge. Pay $1.75 toll. Follow the sign that say Jacob Riis Park.

From Long Island:
Take the Southern State Parkway straight into the Belt Parkway West.
Or take the Northern State Parkway to the Cross Island Parkway south to the Belt Parkway West.
Or take the L.I.E. to the Cross Island Parkway south to the Belt Parkway West

from NJ:
Take the Goethals bridge to the Staten Island Expressway Then to the Verazzano Bridge, and take the Belt Parkway exit, and follow the directions above from Brooklyn.
You can also take the Outerbridge Crossing (or Bayonne Bridge) and take the 440 to 278 East (Staten Island Expressway).

And For those of you that don't have ya cars ready you can still come! Just take the Q35 Green lines bus from Nostrand and Flatbush Avenues to Riis Park/Rockaway Beach. :p :D ;)

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Eisenhower Park in East Meadow-Nassau County-we can have a meet/barbeque and then cruise down to the obi Ocean Parkway 5 miles of straight road where we could fly and meet up in the obi parking lot for some pictures.

Aight, we have something going now. Henry is even in on this. All we need is Ian and Red, Dex, Kevin, Theo, Pep, Chris? Anyone else Im forgetting? We should try to get some CT guys and NJ guys as well considering 5 of us made the trip to CT for there meet. You know get more ppl than we had last time which was like 32ppl?

I'm in guys. I will be back from Korea on the 3rd of july right after world cup finishes up. Just wondering if you guys can have it closer to northern NYC. It is a major pain to get to brooklyn from Northern NJ. Nonetheless, I am willing to head over anywhere in the NYC area. But us NJ guys DID make the trip all the way to brooklyn last time. ;) "if you plan it they will come"

...I am making a trip to Japan next week. Anyone need anything? ;)

I am interested. I think what Sean was saying about setting up a picnic at Eisenhower park is a good idea. Will there be any problems about non Nassau residents getting into the park? I am pretty sure we will need a license to drink beer if anybody is interested. IIRC it is only a few bucks. Give me a call Sean if you neeed help setting anything up.

cool cool, what does everyone else think about the eisenhower park idea, I know its not toward the city but its only like 15 minutes from queens and maybe a half hour from the city and it is a huge place where tons of cars can fit and chill, I think a huge park is a ideal place for this type of meet, plus maybe if its on the island we can get chriscar, rob, and some other people to go:confused: If everyone brings there se-r friends im sure we can have a huge turn out.
