I had bought a Koyo radiator back in 2004 with the 1440 part number. it fit perfect and i did not have any cooling issues as with the stocker.. its about 3 times thicker than the stock one i had but fits just like if it was original. only problem i had was my water pump went out after and the o2 sensor was rubbing and got cut on the heat shield of the stock fans. i ended up getting headers for my car and had to take one of the fans off. a slim fan(s) would be needed if you want to keep both.. I highly recommend koyo to anyone that asks. :biggthump

ill see if i can add pics later when i get home.

To anybody smart enough to listen who has an SR20 in there car BUY THE 1977 PART NUMBER.

-you wont have to use adaptors on your radiator inlets and outlets.
-it will cool better then the 1440
-ITS MADE FOR THE FWD SR20!

If they won't listen to you, this probably won't help either.

I actually started receiving PM's about this thread and questioning how R1977 can be for Nissans if it is not listed on Koyo's website. To start off, I did the Koyo Group Buy a long time ago for about a year long, and sold many radiators at the time with that part number for the SR20DE and one for a GA16DE, which is part number R1440. Koyo is a large manufacturer that does not necessarily have to update their website when they are providing radiators to OEM manufacturers. Here are links to two different companies offering Koyo Radiators and the first one has it for both, SR20DE and GA16DE:

http://www.racinglab.com/koyo-radiator-nissan.html

http://www.racerwheel.com/koyo-r1977.html

If you notice closely, the corresponding part numbers match up to what has been said in this thread all along. I would especially expect Tauriq (Johnny wangwang) to know all about this because he participated in my group buy, so listen to what he has to say. This is a really great upgrade, and I am sure others can claim its performance.

Thanks!

1977 has the larger coolant ports on it for the SE-R hoses. The 1440 has the smaller ports on it for the GA16 hoses. DONE!
