: Trying to Decide on Rims (PICS) ... opinions needed
jon3k 06-13-2002, 11:43 AM I've got a white 93 classic. I'm looking at two sets of rims:

Konig Glides (Flat Black)
16X7
Pattern/Offsets Available:
4x100/40
4x114.3/40
Or...

the venerable kosei k1 (white) :D
not sure on sizes, etc. Definatly 16's, this is a street/strip car. Do they make a 16x7?
What do you guys think?
NismoNx2000 06-13-2002, 11:57 AM Im diggin the Kosei K1's.....then again, the darker konig's might be nicer........well, i guess im no help!! Go with the ones that are lighter!!
2wdBlazer 06-13-2002, 12:24 PM White on white looks very good although I don't like that style of rim much.
playatx99 06-13-2002, 02:10 PM have you looked at the anthracite K1s? they look sharp on a white car. IMHO, 16s on a classic are overkill, a good 205/50/15 is PLENTY of tire under a b13, and tires are considerably cheaper and lighter. just my .02
Buckwilly 06-13-2002, 03:05 PM I like the first set WAY more than the second ones. Kosies in white on white...IMO I think that looks bad. Too much white. Gunmetal would be better...why didnt you consider the Kosies in a different color? Or why not just get something different? Like...the Rotas or something light like the SSR comps? If money isnt an object.
97 Black SER 06-13-2002, 04:21 PM I really don't like white K1's on a white classic. Craig Damashi had that on his car for awhile. That's just my personal opinion though. I dig the konigs, but I agree, go with what is lighter in 15 inch.
Anime Gee 06-13-2002, 06:26 PM Jon3k: The 15" x 6.5" Konig Traffik in Carbon weighs around 12.5 LBS. Click on the link to see them:
Konig Traffik (http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_product_details.cfm?CategoryID=1&ss_id=135&ss_categoryName=Traffik%20Carbon) (Carbon color)
This wheel should look good on your car. You can get them at www.discounttiredirect.com for about $135 a piece. Yeah baby. http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/kao/msroom/m-wak.gif

If you ask me I would chose the lighter wheel. The Helium’s are probably to light for the street (IMHO, and I have heard of bent wheels). The Kosie's have a great reputation for strength, so do the Rota's. You asked, Just my .02cents.

muleman 06-13-2002, 06:56 PM Yes he has a point if you are going to run very low profile tire (205 40r17) i have tsw revo's that size and i bent 3 of them all at diffrent times=( but if you run 215 45 15 it should give you more tire to absorb the the road good luck
jon3k 06-14-2002, 12:21 PM Thanks for all the responses guys, I appreciate your comments. And I agree with most of you guys, i think white rims on a white car might be a little much (in my case, i've seen it look good). I'm in love with those Konig Traffik's. Those look great! I'm definatly going to have to consider those. I've got really dark tint all around, so I think some dark rims would look great.
Thanks again guys, i really appreciate all your opinions.
dono200sx 06-14-2002, 05:37 PM I would go with the first set.. Like you said, they would look excellent with the dark tint. Personally I would go for the 15s. Lighter weight... cost less...
ak555 06-14-2002, 09:24 PM 15" Kosei's in gunmetal or anthracite :D
brian 06-14-2002, 10:33 PM I have had my Konig Heliums (bronze) on my car for a few days now, and love em, really light too, you pick it up and it is a wholly shit kinda thing :)
