I've read and look at lot of pics of SE-R with CAI and all of them have the tube going in next to the battery. But when I look at my car, for the life of me, I can't see how this is possible. There's no freaking room there!!! Don't mind me, I'm naive about that. Just want someone to shed some light before I go out and spend over $200. Thank.

I have the Place racing unit on my 91. I was like you when I looked at the pipe and looked down behind the battery box .
Only thing I can tell you is there is room. If your battery is full size, filling the battery box fully then you might wan't to shift the battery as much as the bractects will allow.
It will fit thugh.......buy you one, you want regret it.

Consider the AEM CAI also. Although you have to cut some
sheet metal to make it fit (on a classic anyway). It comes with
brackets that relocate the battery over a bit.
I could send you pics of my '93 with the AEM if you like.

The AEM gives proven performance gains.

AEM CAI's are designed and tested exclusivly on a
chassis dyno. I belive the dyno charts are avalible
from them.

AEM intakes consistantly produce more power than any
others in the market because they are the only ones
that do as much testing.

I will get one. I torn between Place Racing(for $227) and Hot Shot (for $213). AEM is too much( $323!!) Anyone know any other place that sell it for less than these prices?? JP314, I would love to see your pics. Please send them. Thank.

Did you ever think of just making your own? You will save 150 bucks possibly. Just go to Home Depot or read someones Homemade Instruction from here.

okay, here's the deal on the cai's for the sentra's. when i installed mine, my battery was too big and i needed to get a smaller one. my battery size is 7 inches by 8 inches and it fits perfectly. you don't have to move your battery to the trunk (like some believe), but you will probably need to purchase a smaller one. mine is smaller, but it still puts out the same cranking power and reserve as the bigger one i had.
