I thought a few of yous might find this neat.
For a few years I worked as an art director at Word Entertainment, a large Christian music record company (i.e. Amy Grant, Sixpence None the Richer, P.O.D.), and a few months ago, the creative staff got cut.
My last project was a wicked rap/rock band called 38th Parallel (www.38thparallelmusic.com).
For one of the set-ups. I built instruments out of car parts I scrounged from area junk yards. I've been dying to post these pics, but the album wasn't close to being released, so I couldnt post.
Well, coincedentally (sp?) I happened to have an SR20DE valve cover floating around.
Check it:

BTW, that is the drummer fooling around with the "guitar" and he's holding it upside down.

Here's a b-roll tight shot of just the valve cover. Notice I had to tape off "Nissan" to avoid risking any negative legalities.

All y'all into rap/rock (like Linkin Park, P.O.D., and the like) should check them out (album releases July 2). They are really good (and dont let the "Christian" stigma distract you). And if you get the package, you'll have a piece of SR20DE pop culture. There are also some cool junkyard shots as well as a mic I created from a piston and a radiator turned into an amp.
[Disclaimer] Oh, and if you go to the website, I didnt design that. Its a little sloppy.
I was on such a rush after that shoot, I was hoping to start slyly incorporating my SE-R into some other package (hell, then I could expense a paintjob and some other cosmetics to a record company!).
