I notice ****** that uses the HKS GT3037("sex machine") Turbo matches it up with a Tial 40mm wastegate. Is there a specific reason for that, or are there any features that prohibit it to be matched with a 35mm? Also **** that runs this turbo off of the GTi-R manifold..(sure the fmax stage 4 will do it..but i dont have any small children to sell on the black market...) I am assuming you have to have it custom flanaged for the 40mm? **** that can slap me straight in the right direction would be cool.....
Thanx

Prolly because anybody who's making enough horsepower to need the 3037 needs to blow more exhaust out the wastegate than a 35mm can handle. I'm not speaking from experience, but it only make sense.

The 35 mm Tial can handle the GT3037 with no problem. There is nothing wrong with going to a bigger wastegate like a 40mm unit. The 40 mm can handle more air and it is just a personal preference to some guys.I have used the 35mm unit on cars that have made 450 Hp to the wheels.
