I was hooking up my bottle warmer the other day, and noticed my throttle position switch hanging from its wires  i hate these damn things, so I want to change it to a momentary switch that i can just press. i don't trust those throttle position switches.

i was wondering if anyone had any info on how to get to the button, wire it, etc. Maybe someone with an FSM that can get a wiring diagram, and tell me which wires to cut :) Needs to be left horn button. Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you're referring to the micro-switch. Well you could wire it up to a button, but why take that chance? I have a Momo steering wheel with my purge hooked up to one of the buttons. But that's all I'd run on a button. Why not get a better micro-switch set up?

Interesting idea :)

I really don't trust those microswitches, I've had them not kick in at .. *ahem* inopportune times :) Do they make a switch that will read TPS voltage? That'd be a lot more accurate/failsafe I think. A lot better than a little switch rigged next to the throttle body
