i had a 99 Sentra SE-L and have a NX2000 and i use 4 quarts. its gonna be overfilled, however, it also increases the oil pressure a little.

what do u mean old and new. B13 and B14? make sure you dont mix and match the two filters on your car because one is a metric thread and the other is a standard thread.

No. If you change the filter you need 3-5/8 quarts and if you don't then you only need 3-3/8 quarts so buy 4 quarts and put it in until it measures correctly on the dipstick. If you're full synthetic, check out Wall-Mart (if you can find a parking spot and make your way through all the trash that shop there) and they sometimes have 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 for around $17.

EDIT: My bad slipper, you replied while I was still typing this. :)

check the dipstick and go by that.....for the most part, you will be using the majority of the 4th quart, but most likely the whole 4th quart wont be necessary.

I wouldnt continue to keep putting 4 quarts in, just fill three and then almost all of the fourth just leave like maybe a quater of a quart in the container and then check it.

I used a 5 quart jug of oil last night and filled it up, waited a minute for the oil to trickle down, check dipstick, fill a little more, etc. I guess that's a good way to tell. Check it often after that, in any case. The car needs oil. If you keep oil in an SR20 and change it like you should, the engine will last forever.
