: Sub-zero's for me

I spoke to Kim Bong at Cosmic today (thanks Greg) He didn't have any 15" Sub-zeros in stock in the color I wanted. I want the silver/gray with the polished lip. I have black stock wheels on my car now and you know what? They just don't do it for me. I like to bling bling too much I guess. Kim did have the same rims in 16's he tried to sell me, but I resisted. It was hard to turn them down, but I did. Good boy, Goooodd boy. He didn"t want to take my credit card info, which is kinda strange. I figured I had to order them. He said if he didn't call me by early July to call him. Strange but if it works I suppose.

I have read from some fellow members here, (Greg Perry, esp.) that these rims are just painted, no clearcoat.

On the rims I will be getting they have a polished lip. So I guess from time to time I will have to polish them to keep them looking good.

Any members with polished liped rims from Rota care to comment on them?

Here is what I will have:

Only in a 15 inch size like these:

Anybody have a shot of this color Sub-zero on a RED Car?

Thanks!

Ralph--

Rota will only accept money orders. Yes, it's strange but true. Just go with it. Not the fastest way of getting wheels, but they have a VERY hard time keeping their wheels in stock nowadays.
Keep in contact with Kim, and he will let you know when the shipments are arriving from the Phillipines where they are manufactured. I had to play this very same game last year. Kim will come through for you, just be patient.

Thanks Greg...money order huh? Mr. Bong didn't mention that to me. I have no problem with that though, thanks for the heads up.
I'm still searching for what tire mfg. I want to go with. Still have not made up my mind.

Thanks Darren, I like em a bunch too.

Black93, thanks man. I went for these because I'm a chrome freak. Always have loved it, always will. These have a polished lip, and with some nice chrome lugs I think they will look real sharp on my Aztec Red Classic. Plus I have never seen this style, in this color, on a Classic. Thats just the icing on the cake.

I hope he gets them in soon, I'm really looking forward to them.:D

UPDATE:

The rims may be postponed a couple of months. I have found a deal on something that I need to look into further.

good god, somebody totally f-ed upthat Se-r's rear cambers alignment:p j/k Those rims are pretty nice. I would go for them in a 16" or 17's for daily use. But i'm too cheap to buy rims.

Now all it needs is a light bar on top, and some fancy "dial 911" stickers, Monsoon.:D J/K. Total Sleeper, for real. Ive been wondering how they would look on my NX, compared to some SE-L rims. Maybe I will try to photoshop them.
