Is this because of a shim between halves of the caliper? I have the newer 11" 1-piece kit, I don't need any washers. Pad wear is even.

No this is because the 11" 2 piece kit uses a modified bracket compared to the 11" 1 piece kit. Do not get this confused, the information I psoted on spacing out is ONLY relevant to those using the two piece kit.

i know the group buy is closed but i would like to buy the 2-piece 11" kit. is there any kind of discount pricing always available to sr20forum members(esspecially us paying members)? pm me with any info.
