Looks like I have to replace it - getting a P0130 on my B15 SE (B14 JWT ECU).
How do you replace it? Is it as easy as unscrewing the old one and and screwing the new one on like a spark plug? I'm afraid it may be difficult because the metal on the DP (where my front O2 sensor is at) gets super-heated and cooled. Would the old O2 sensor be fused onto the DP? Do I need a gasket for the new O2 sensor, or does it just screws right in without needing anything else?
Thanks.

spray some wd40 in their and let it sit for a couple of minutes..disc the battery and the harness on the o2..u can either use an o2 sensor socket or an open wrench to remove it..the o2 sensor already has a washer so u wont need a gasket

thanks! that sounds easy enough. let's see how I do in practice. :)

hehe, HOPE that your down stream ( secondary ) o2 doesn't fail.... I had to take mine to a shop and they had to put some heat on it.
Even though afterwards they said it's a bad idea to put heat on it because it may just strip.... I was lucky and they got it out!

My rear one seems fine. Besides, JWT put resistors on it for me. Not even sure if the rear one is connected. :) Either way, I dont care since it is not throwing any codes about it.
In other news, I may have to order a B14 o2 sensor, not the B15 one. :( Too late - I already ordered, but I can always send it back (Jen at West Coniva Nissan rules!) and order a B14 instead.
I dunno if it will make the P0130 code go away, but according to the B14 and B15 FSM, at 25*C (77*F), the B14 gives a resistance of 3.3 to 6.3 ohms, while the B15 gives 2.3 to 4.3 ohms. I wonder if that makes a difference. I'm going to play it safe and just get a B14 o2 sensor for a B14 ECU (in a B15 RR SR20, lol).
I'll update of course. I have a gut feeling that this bugger is what is causing my high idle (can't even set the base idle).

I am curious to know how this went because I will be doing the B14 ecu swap in my B15 in a couple of weeks. Did the B14 oxygen sensor solve the problem?

i'm runnning a p11 rr o2 sensor, should be same as the b15 and runnign a b14 jwt and i'm not throwing any codes except for idle...
Make sure you get one of these:

It makes the job much easier ;) and you can find them at autozone for the cheap.
