I was wondering on a 97 200sx SE-R which MAFwire to splice on the ECU for the AFC? They have two wires, one is the MAF ground and the other is the MAF signal. I tried the MAF signal and the car would not start. I disconnected that wire only and the car starts and runs fine. So im guessin the im supposed to cut he MAF ground wire and splice that. I wanted to see if anyone else ran into this problem.Let me know before i go and cut this wire. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it is the same color as the OBDI 91 SE-R but if I recall correctly the (ORANGE wire) is the siganl (remember that you cut the MAF signal wire in half and route it through the SAFC) there is a input (WHITE wire) and output (YELLOW wire) from the SAFC, from the ECU the MAF signal wire (I think ORANGE) is connected to the SAFC (YELLOW wire OUTPUT) and then the SAFC (WHITE wire INPUT) if connected to the other half of the cut MAF signal wire (ORANGE I think) to make it a complete path. Know your car's running off SAFC.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU GROUND THE SAFC (BROWN WIRE) CLOSER TO THE ECU THAN THE (BLACK WIRE) AND MAKE SURE BOTH THE BROWN AND BLACK WIRE ARE CLOSE TO EACHOTHER.

The GROUND wire (WHITE wire for OBDI ECU do not cut, only splice into) and should be the same for you OBDII. I hope you have a FSM, HAYNES, CHILTON or something because you have to do this directly from the back of the ECU you can't does this from the sensor itself or your SAFC will not work properly if at all, it is very important that you follow the ABOVE just follow the instructions to the T and take your time. I'm running the SAFC on my car and it runs perfect, I like it.

One reason that your car may not run after connecting the AFC is that you have to set what kind of sensors the car has on the AFC. If you dont do that it will not run. I have an SAFC on my B13 it runs fine I havent tuned it any yet but it is on the car and working.

Yes that is true make sure of the following;

SENSOR TYPE = HOT WIRE

SENSOR NUMBER = IN 06 OUT 06

LEAVE SENOR CALCULATION ALONE = 1 1

THROTTLE TYPE = ARROW POINTING UPWARD

CYLINDERS= 4
