I know I'm bitching, but I don't care; I'm pissed off...
What the hell man?!?! So I'm checking out the new SE-R on the nissan website... and in the corner I see a little link for "SE-R Heritage". I was like "cool!", they showed a little snag on the datsun 510, and a little history on the b13 SE-R... sweet! I clicked on the next page waiting to find a 200sx SE-R blog and a little history on b14's... nope - it skipped right on to the b15 SE-R's, and continued on the the latest gen.

I'm sorry, but that downright pisses me the fu*k off. I understand that Nissan bastardized our cars by changing the names of them, but for god's sake its still a sentra chassis... what a slap in the face man, they showed NO INFORMATION on it like the car never existed. I don't care what anyone says, but this is bull sh*t. I may be a little biased because I like b14's better, but I still have a sentra as well... Where is the B14 love? I mean, if not the 200sx SE-R, they could have at least mentioned the Sentra SE-L.

I know what some of you are going to say already... "B13's are better..." "b14's are fat and slow!" "Blah Blah Blah"... this time that's not the point (and I can keep up with a b13, or b15 for that matter anyway)... the point is even though 95-99 was a wierd year for the SE-R in general, and the fact that the B14 wasn't as revolutionary as the B13 was - Regardless of the matter, the B14 was still a part of the SE-R era, and its bull sh*t that it isn't being represented as so...

Sorry, but I get enough sh*t about being a B14 owner, about my rear beam, and other garbage... but this just tops the cake for me...

They should have mentioned the classic along them all, that is the original SE-R and the one that was never forgotten, even the Car&Driver and MT guys still mention it.

*EDIT* They did mention the SE-R..... I guess the B14 just wasnt considered hot. Like the child in a big family that no one remembers

The B15 QR should nave no mention with the 510, B13 SER and B14 SER. The B14 SER should have been included.

The B15 SER is a big fat, ugly pig.

Also, no 2 door no SER.

The 510 and B13 SER were sales Giants.

This new car will not perform well in the new market in my opinion.

When they were sold, both the 510 and B13 SER were cars that were ahead of their time. These cars were practical everyday cars, serious performers on the track and were well ahead of their time in fuel economy.

This new car is not an should not be put in the same league with the 510, B13 and B14 SER of past

Because it's not a Sentra :) it's a 200sx :)

Everyone knows the sales for the b13 were splendid... its a great damn car. We all love em. But were the sales of the b14 so bad that they can't even mention it? I don't understand how they can just basically act like the SE-R tradition just stopped in 94 and continued when the spec came out. That's so wrong.

I'm actually thinking about emailing their marketing dept about it... I know its not a big deal and probably won't hurt or help... but even if it leads to no avail I'm going to simply for principle.

You and I both know that the B chassis is a sentra got dammit! :D It's not our fault nissan tried to throw a shitty sales pitch and change the name to the rwd variant (another thing that pisses me off)... As far as I'm concerned 98 SE, 200sx, SE-L... their all sentras dangit :)

I remember when we went to get Rosa's car they tried everything in their power to sell me the green one. It was $2000 cheaper than all the other colors.

I told them if they can sell me a green one for that price I will take the white one for that price. After 2 weeks of back and forth shit talk I got a white one at the price I wanted and they actually had to order the car and bring it in.

There were shit loads of green one at the dealership rotting away.

Ding Ding Ding.... seriously. In Nissan's mind the 200SX SE-R was not a Sentra.

Even though it was the chassis progression it was separate model. Kinda like the Altima SE-R..... it carries the SE-R badge but is not a Sentra.

I think its called "Teal Green" I dont know what color car Mike has. Last time I saw I thought the "Dog Car" was black? Maybe I have it confused with Naji's 200

^^I'm talking about the green 200sx that was in SCC years ago.

Its the teal one. The dark green was only a 98 color.
