Also have some of that brake quiet goop, the red stuff. Does that go between the pad and the shims or on the outside of the shims, contacting the caliper?
I've done this before, i ferget.
Plus the goop's instructions don't say. >=(

yes put it on at the contack point like the shims and what not.

BTW, got an interesting answer from my 'guy' @ Car-X. I've gotten to be on good terms w/ the manager of one by werk. His take on it is the stuff is bad. Stick on shims (like the ones that came w/ my pads, DOH!) are better. The best are the OEM shims, got those ya don't need the goop. It attracts dirt like mad as well. The guy has always been straight up w/ me, simple is good too.
Not to mention if i have probs i can always put it on later.
