ok well here is my ghetto mod part 2 :D

well i used the same 3/4 ss pipe and i added two pieces of 3/16 T6 aluminum flat bar that's cut shaped and drilled al i used to cut it was a hack saw and a coping saw to cut out the half circle for the top of the strut i used vary basic tools but a little more skill than my first strut bar that was just a cut and crush affair :p

this only took me an hour and a half of goofing around wasn't trying to hard. but im still going to make a proper plate and weld it in to one solid piece. ,i did this part because of boredom and to see if it work better ;)

i haven't taken this for a test drive yet but im going to tonight and im auto crossing tomorrow and
ill see how its there. do a run with it in and a run with it out.

Looks pretty neat, question for you, how big difference does it make on road handling?

I would like to put on a front one on the Sentra that I have, I have a rear stabiliser bar but it is not like what you are building. There are 3 peices to it. The 2 ends are welded onto the body of the car and the centre part/rod is bolted onto the the ends. This came with the car from the factory.

picture inside the boot (http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/mervyng/vwp?.dir=/Car&.src=ph&.dnm=Amps+for+subs+%2b+speakers.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/mervyng/lst%3f%26.dir=/Car%26.src=ph%26.view=t)
I had this pic taken for my amps, I don't have one just for the stabiliser bar only. Please don't mind the wiring.

So about how many perfect of road handling can I expect around bends wih the bar in the front?

Hi Ronn,

Yeah, it is standard from the Factory on the South African version of the Sentra between 1998-2001. It was on the sr20's, I am not sure about the lower models. The 2001 Sentra was the last one to be produced in South Africa. The Almera's have take over now and the Sentra's have stopped.

This car is a Sept. 2001 Model.
PS. I have some pics of the car in the Members Ride section under "More pic's of my baby"

so then you just have the bar bolted onto those metal plates, which you then bolted onto the strut towers, correct? no welding required, as of yet?

yep all i have holding it is just a 3/8 bolt threw the pipe and the flat bar

all i used to make this was a drill, hack saw, and a coping saw. tools that any person should have in a home.
