My question is should I buy the whole gasket kit or just the gasket? And also where can I get the best price on these items.

btw the reason for pulling the valve cover is for putting in some s3's and the cover is also leaking anyway.

When I did my cams I replaced the VC gasket, spark plug o-rings, distributor o-ring, and tensioner gasket. Talk to Greg @ G Spec in the forum vendors.
