Yes its very easy. All you have to do is buy 3 or 4 (they come in packs of 2 anyway.) It is like 2 screws and it pops right out. Blue fades to a horrible light blue greenish color. But red stays pretty nice. I havent done this in my 200 yet but i did it in my b13 xe. It looks about the same. Very easy. Have fun. :)
*Good time to disconnect the chime if it bugs you. Remember you need it to pass inspection though.*

blue led's work great...and hopefully won't fade for a long time

i went thru like 5 other brands of regular colored glass that all faded in a couple weeks. go ahead and shell out the cash for led's, it'll be cheaper in the long run

do you have to wire in resistors with leds, or is it a plug in play deal?

I am using some super white 194 bulbs for my cluster. It lights up really bright, and they havent faded at all in the last 2 years. I like them a lot.

if you're talking about a b14, you probably can change the hvac bulbs...but i've never seen that size for sale (don't know the size either)

you can get to them pretty easily. check nis-nacks.com and see if they still have the directions to installing the e-l hvac gauge thing...that's probably the easiest way of getting in there....

I have been looking for red bulbs for HVAC controls to match the dash but have never had any luck.

i have polarg hyper whites. before i had apc blue and they turned to this shit split pea soup color. and no, no one makes bulbs for the hvac controls. nis knacks has an indiglo set up that is hella tight. Works like a charm for me.

they work fine for me. i got blue, so it prob wouldn't be as bright as they white led's (if that's what you speak of). i'm not sure if the extreme bright was available when i bought mine, or maybe i just didn't see them.

personally, i would not buy LED's for the cluster. I bought some red ones, and the light was faded in some areas of the cluster while more concentrated in others. I then swapped back in my amber real bulbs and it was fine. This leads me to beleive the led light does not look good in the cluster.............could just be the red led's though?
