I want to polish my DET distributer, coz it looks lame next to my polished cam cover.. some questions

a) is the DE distributer the same? If yes, i can remove my DE one, and polish that while i can still drive around. Then put the DE one on the bb det... The de distributer also seems to look at lot less rough and easier to polish than my DET one...

b) whats the procedure for removing it, and what do i have to look out for?

What needs to be done when i put it back on? ie timing, etc? I'm thinking the distributer is usually something you dont take off and f*ck around with, as it has a little bit of tape over the adj'able bolt at the top there.. hrmmm
