I dont knwo about nx's but i took mine off my maxima with a heatgun and careful peeling...took about an hour and a bit...plus scrubbing the previous goo off and re-heating it with new strips (3m makes them) and putting it on. looked good.

or you can take the time I did and newspaper/mask off the entire car (looks like an nx with a grass skirt :D) and rattle can it that way. takes about the same amount of time start to finish either way, and I've done both.

not to hijack the thread, but how does the trim under the windows that wraps around the trunk come off and on?

The once on the door are quite easy 1 screw on the end of the door, on the inside, then you basicly just pull them up, *** youll have to remove the side mirror, first, and the little part under the side mirror have 1 tiny screw on the inside of the door, since the large one goes under it.

The once on the side are a bit more diffecult, take a small screwdriver and carefully locate the clip underneed, then tip it out, one by one, be careful not to scratch the paint, unless youll want the whole car repainted.

On the trunk, the mittle one, where somehave a stoplight, is bolted on from the inside.
The small once on the side of it, comes off like the side trim did.

With a little care its quite easy, i got mine painted when i repainted my car, check it out here.

bump

I need to replace the door trim (the thick trim/molding halfway down the door). I removed the trim okay but how do you get the sticky double sided tape off of the paint? I'd use a razor but it scratches the paint to hell -- even *** no one can see under the trim I guess. I tried a bit of acetone but that takes forever to completely disolve the goo off in one little section. Is there an easier way?
