Yes, use the stock wiring harness. Need to use the DET coolant temp sensor in the DET motor, which requires cutting the DET harness plug off and soldering it onto the DE harness. The DE dizzy can also be used but you need a DET ECU and MAF.

There is not cutting man! THe plugs are the same, only sensor is different.

Spoken like you know what your talking about.....except you dont.

You *** have to use a DET collant temp senor in the DET motor. You match the temp, o2, and maf to the ecu you decide to use. Which can be a usdm DE ecu(would need a tune) or a DET ecu.

Funnily enough, I was giving the simplest way of doing it. In Australia, our coolant temp sensor plug is different to the JDM plug. The key way down the side of the sensor is in a different position.

PS: You missed injector sizing ;) Using a U12 ECU could cause problems.

If the thread starter had searched, they would find the info anyway, some of which are in posts from me which explain fully.

.

No it wouldnt... you would be running 370s and the injector size would be correct.... your wrong yet again.

Might want to check that. Some of the early U12 DET ECU's used SR20DE injectors and could not take more than 8psi boost before leaning out the injectors. Using the early U12 ECU with the purple 370cc inj's would make the engine run rich.

However, you can also use the GTiR ECU on the W10 motor with larger 440cc injectors(or 4 bar base rail pressure) which means injector sizing becomes important. Its a DET ECU as well but it wont run the W10...

...hence why injector sizing is important as well.
