Well guys, now that the car is almost finished, I've decided the next project will be my garage. So far the only things I know I want to do are to epoxy my floor, set up new shelves and a new lighting system. But after that I'm not sure how else to improve the space.
From the pics you can see that so far I have all my car stuff packed in the back corner and all the house supplies stacked in another. The previous owner had built the shelving system, but it was poorly done, and is rocky and unstable at best.
I haven't measured the actual garage but from the pictures you can see its not that big, but not horribly small either. So I'm looking for advice and/or suggestions on how to improve the space, things that you guys have bought that you think are useful or a must have.
The garage now:

Let me know what you think.

the best bit of advice i can give you is organization. i posted a pic of my garage somewhere in this section and it was un organized and i was always tripping over things. buy/install some sort of drawers, i see you already have some hooks, and you are already going to re-do some shelves. make a plan before re working the area...that way it won't end up a bigger mess or headache than it was before. trust me...i know.
You could send me your Sunny bumper, that would free up some space.
Or you could checkout my post on my tire rack.
Which is here. http://www.sr20forum.com/garage-tips-tricks/204650-tire-rack.html

Thanks, I think thats what I'll do. I have been searching this section and I have found a nice set of shelves some members use from Sams Club:

And a really nice craftsman cabinet from Sears.

So now I just have to decide on a few more things then get started.

Ha, the bumper just got here, and it won't be on the floor for long :biggthump
That's a nice tire rack, thankfully I only have one set of extra tires which are stacked in the back, so they are not really taking up that much space.

2 long racks on the left side...air compressor on the right rear corner...i like to keep all of my tool on the right side
Here are a few more solutions. I like this one where you use the space above the garage door. Depending on how much room is up there.
