: Body Kits in the US
Pondera 06-17-2002, 08:53 PM I just bought a '93 NX 1600 and I was looking in to getting a body kit. I read the posts about the Erubuni kits and the MS design front end spoiler. I found the Erubuni kit with no problem, but is there anywhere in the US that anyone knows of where I can buy the MS Design front chin.
Thanks!
Fonque 06-18-2002, 09:19 PM if im not mistaken all the other body kits have to be imported, aside from the eribuni, the ms design one i think has to be imported from austria, ask prettywhite i think hes the one floatign around in the forum with that bumper on
NX$paniard 06-18-2002, 09:25 PM Well, I hope i say this without offending you... Your F---ed!!
:) FOR ALL FELLOW NXERS WHO DONT ALREADY KNOW!!
No, seriously though i think I am one of the very very very very Few that bit the bullet and payed the rediculous price and got the Australian Body Kit! www.carmate.com.au It looks kick ass and will let me run a front mount intercooler waaay better than the erebuni kit, I will be going to the body shop tomorrow. All in all i ended up going with the Erebuni rear and side skirts, along with that front end. You dont wanna know how much i spent and how much body work will be done!! So my recommendation to you, since you have a 1.6L engine and will never go turbo either get the Erebuni kit, which is available through Nopi and has a more extreme look or check out the kit on www.impactparts.com. that one is a little more conservative it is part # ANN2200. I think its cool...it just wouldnt do my front mount any good. To evryone else and yourself. if you reaaly wanna blow the cash and got it comin out of your ass like me, let me know and i can help you do the whole import thing since it is a tad bit irritating if its your first time.. Anyhow good luck to all... my Sex Machine should be out of the shop and done by 2 weeks max... i have before pics ..so ...if **** really wants to see all the trouble ive gone through let me know... Love, peace and Afro Grease!!
Pretty White 06-18-2002, 09:31 PM I would buy like 5 MS-Design spoilers to sell back but I don't trust people anymore.
I did the footwork so can you.
Get the number off their website and call them. They are like 7 hours ahead of us so wake up early. Ask for Rudi, follow all their directions and you will get it in a weeks time.

Fonque 06-19-2002, 10:01 AM nx$paniard how much did you actually end up spending on that body kit, well just for parts not to have it put on at the body shop? *** i have been toying with the idea of getting that one i like the grill in the front

I was planning on buying the front bar and Carmate quoted me on $500 AUS shipped to my door. That comes out to about $250 for the complete front bar, not just a cover. I think that is an great deal.
Also, i have seen an NX with Civic 3dr. sideskirts that fit perfectly withought any cutting. Apparently they aree the same dimensions as our cars sideskirts.
As for the rear bumper, i have seen a few from europe i love, but they dont all fit because of their license plate frames.
NX$paniard 06-19-2002, 10:19 AM well , put it this way...
it cost more to ship it than it did for the actual front and rear end!! If you are serious though and have the $ to spend... let me know because they only had 2 left... and i got 1 so that means 1 left....but PM me if you decide you want to go to the trouble.. i think itll be worth it.. theres not too many around thats for sure... i just dropped it off at the body shop today.. so needless to say I am very nervous/paranoid yet excited to see how it turns out.. it requires alot, alot! of fitment work though...
but i guess thats the price i pay for being an individual...

Boss, I understand fully.
NX$paniard 06-19-2002, 07:21 PM Da91NX... I think you misunderstood carmate.. because the shipping alone for me was $600US plus the price of the front bar and the rear cover....it might have changed..but either way..their prices are kik ass! but by the time you pay shipping then deal with customs and the import broker that signed for it... it all adds up bro.. but somebody has to do it i guess..:p
Da91NX 06-19-2002, 08:26 PM I asked them how much is their front bar including shipping to my zip code in NY, and they responded AUS$500. When converted that came out to $250. The importing tax and stuff is something i am not sure about, though.

Don't you hate that shit!!!!! I paid MS Design a kickass price of $311 US for my chin spoiler. Mind you I got it in less than a week because they sent it over on Austria Air Cargo. But when I went to the airport they smacked me with a customs fee. That has nothing to do with MS Design, I thought I was done paying. Customs fee...just so they can sign off a piece of paper. What a Gip. But still worth it.

You pay that seperate at the airport to clear it from customs. Has nothing to do with Carmate or any other company. Just like when you come from a vacation and you bring stuff back. You are "supposed" to declare the value. This is air cargo so there is no way you can sneak it in your suitcase.
Da91NX 06-20-2002, 10:46 AM How much do you usually have to pay at the airports?
nismo91 06-20-2002, 11:42 AM Or you can go with something like this

Da91NX 06-20-2002, 12:28 PM the carmate one would seem to be the best on the fact that there is a hole for the radiator to breathe better. We all know those turbo motors can get pretty hot under there.;)
