What kind of turbo can I "hop-up" to using the standard BB DET manifold on my DET? I wanna ditch the T25...

S14/15 t28 will go on? A guy told me he had to file the block slightly to get it to fit on his?

I was thinking the S15 T28, for a cheap hop-up, or an HKS GT2530 or something?

I'm looking for around 250 wheel HP. (not much more because I do autocross work and lag is not my friend)

Advice?

Thanks, James

Get the GTIR T28 and manifold, take off the T3 compressor housing and add the t04B from an s14 and you canboost to about 16psi and make about 280whp. Good boost around 3500rpm.

You can do 280 @ 16 PSI with the stock compressor housing. I'm certain you can do better than that (though I don't know how much) with the S14/S15 compressor housing. The trick is finding one and it's adapter ring in the US. ;)

You're going to have to buy an 'R manifold, though. The BB manifold positions the turbo too close to the block, and anything bigger than the stock T25 is going to hit.

thanks for the advice guys!

I do remember a bloke saying you can fit the T28 (s14 or s15) onto the BB manifold, but you need to file a very small amount off the block. I spose its not really recommended though, a turbo shouldnt have to be that close to the block..

Modify the T25 then perhaps :)

I want 250 wheel hp.

Car goes in for front mount i/c in two weeks... cant wait. still running shitty top mount with no venting at all and 7psi boost.

Thanks again!
