BTW, got some Carbotech Panther pads under there.
Get on em hard, these aren't brakes, they're RetroRockets.

Better hurry over. Now that the Panthers and rotors are seasoned, i'm throwing on my street MetalMasters on. Hoping to be squeek free. >=P

That looks REAL sweet!!!
I was going to do that but decided to stick to weight savings.

As far as saving weight....let it go. Light cars that are fast need to stop too man.

I think its worth it to have stopping power for the extra weight.

My $.02

Honestly the only reason i went for the swap was because i am planning on takin the car to the track. The rotor diameter difference is minimal, the braking performance should be almost identical w/ sticky tires and pads, for the first stop or two anyways. The thickness of the ADV22 rotor allows it to take much more repeated heavy braking w/ less fade.
Keep in mind that they are somewhat more expensive, both to get and to maintain. Since mine were rebuilds i run the risk of my cores being rejected as well.
If i were only trying to build a very competitive AutoX car this upgrade would be couterproductive. Most likely would have stuck w/ stock brakes, rebuilt/painted calipers and some nice street pads.
OF course if you want to say you have ALL the bolt ons........ =P

Always makes me smile when someone "gets it" :)

I never had much problem stopping my car with stock brakes on a road course. But even when my car was stock and I was on street tires, I still cracked rotors on a regular basis from the heat. I might get a couple of events out of them. With NX brakes, I went 11 weekends before I cracked one :) And the operating temps are so much lower, my pads last a lot longer. This is one mod I can honestly say has saved me money over time.
