fukin A i hate problems with this damn car...
ok.. so when i drive.. and really hit the gas.. theres a voillent shake coming from what sounds like the passenger wheel..
well i found out its the motor mount, and its shaking
the mount is connected to the black support bar that runs with the car, across the middle of the engine bay.. ( underneath of course )
so one of the 2 bolts in the back, closest to the mount.. is stripped or something...
im wondering how can i fix this.. and if mabe welding the black bar in place.. would be a solution.. or do i have to replace this bar and mount together...

thanks for your time + any knowledge and input.

grab some prothanes and call it a day ..... well after the hellish event of pressing them in..... then call it a day

Figure out if you actually stripped a bolt, or the OEM rubber inside the metal mount "shell" is dead. It is probably the OEM rubber itself.

If it is the bolt-hole itself, probably not, then you have to fix that issue first.

If it is the OEM rubber degrading (or completely shot) inside the metal of the mount, then that is relatively easy.

Call Serban at the Go Fast Depot (Forum Vendor), order up the Prothane engine and tranny mounts and have them installed (by you or a shop). Problem solved.

Our engine/tranny OEM mounts suck, and the two that resist the rocking of the motor under acceleration are the two on either side of the motor/crossmember. They resist the torque of the motor.

its not the mount.. its threading for the bolt to hold up the bar
it IS STRIPPED
it had to be hyper colied or w.e. and that worked fine untill som1 tried to adjust the bar.. now it poped out and it shakes again..
i dont want poly motormounts ***..

hmmm that sucks.... not sure how you could permanently fix that. Thread for bigger bolt maybe...but then you'd have to get a special bolt made.

does it happen between 1500-2000rpms? like 1700?

don't weld it because you frequently need to take that assembly apart to get to other things when doing maintenance.

I'd go bigger with it and get another bolt.

yea mine too, ive got prothane mounts, but one of the 2 bolts on the passenger side is crossthreaded, so the second bolt wont go in. so that mount is cruisin on 1 bolt. so just getting prothanes wont do it. You need both bolts in there or else its going to let you know its pissed off. the vibrating stops after a couple minutes *** after the motor is warm.
